AMD has made one last offensive for 2010. In a broad launch AMD rolls out three new processors that will act as the new flagships for each respective product series. The new king of the hill is AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition that operates at 3.3 GHz and six cores.
AMD has the hexa-core flagship aside also launch a triple-core Athlon II X3 455 and a dual-core Phenom II X2 565. The former is the cheapest of the three and X3 455 comes with a price tag of around $80. This gets you three processor cores operating at 3.3 GHz and 512KB L2 cache per core. TDP rated at 95 watt.
Phenom II X2 565 Black Edition is despite its only two cores more expensive with its unlocked multipliers. Here the clock frequency lands at 3.4 GHz and 6MB L3 cache for spiking performance when going up to against Intel’s Core i3 processors. The price tag is about $100 and the TDP is set at 80 watt.
