AMD OverDrive is a quite exceptional application which can do everything you need when overclocking; tweak delicate settings, alter frequencies, test stability and last but not least benchmark to see if you actually gained anything. All in one single application. Unfortunately the application is restricted to AMD’s 790X and 790FX chipsets, which are only available for AMD Socket AM2 and AM2+ processors, which seems like a small waste right now (a common opinion we should tell you). Two fresh videos starring AMD chipset Guru and overclocking legend Sami “macci” Mäkinen showing off the capabilities of OverDrive have now been published at YouTube.
The videos are only a few minutes each, but are well worth watching.
