According to AMD and its latest roadmap of the coming Phenom processors there will be three new processors released before the end of the year. Two Phenom X4 will be launched and will be named GP-7100 and GP-7000 respectively. The first will have a clock frequency of (up to) 2.4GHz, and a HyperTransport 3.0 bus speed of 3.6GHz. The slower version, GP-7000, will run at (up to) 2.2GHz and have a HT3 bus at 3.2GHz. Both of these are native quad-core processors with a TDP of 89W. AMD will also launch an X2 version of Phenom in the form of GP-6550 with a clock frequency of up to 2.4GHz and a bus speed at 3.6GHz and sport a TDP of 65 watt.

During the first quarter we will see two more Phenom X2 processors. The first will be called GP-6650 and run at 200 MHz more and have the same bus speed and TDP as its sibling GP-6550. The second is GP-6800. unlike the other two, this one comes with a TDP of 89W and a HT3 frequency at a whopping 4.0GHz. The clock frequency of GP-6800 will be 200 MHz higher than that of 6650, or up to 2.8GHz.

Later in 2008 AMD will release a couple of cheaper alternative to Phenom and these will be based on a core called Rana. The difference between these two architectures is that Rana lacks the L3 cache. Rana is slated for arrival during the second quarter 2008.
