AMD RS780 is the next generation integrated chipset from AMD. The information about this chipset has been rather sparse, but now ChileHardware have come across some interesting specifications for RS780. First of all the integrated graphics circuit will be based on ATI RV610, which means that the circuit will have DirectX 10 support. They also report that the circuit will arrive during the first quarter of 2008 and will then bring support for both DDR2 1066MHz and DDR3 1333MHz. The chipset is for AMD’s Socket AM2+ and we wouldn’t be surprised if NVIDIA has a competing DirectX 10 chipset under development, but it is still in the dark.
