AMD has seen a very positive development on the processor market in 2011 and its successful launches of Fusion will apparently be followed by DDR3 memory modules. At least that are the signals we are getting from Japan where AMD has started selling DDR3-1333 memory modules with Radeon branding, which is confirmed by AMD at the official product site.

AMD Radeon Memory will be available in three series where in Japa the mid-range series Entertainment has appeared, aiming for multimedia and ordinart PCs. The frequency is 1333 MHz and the timings 9-9-9.

AMD will also roll out more high-end modules under the name Ultra Pro Gaming that will operate at 1600 MHz and somewhat looser timings at 11-11-11. The modules are certified to to work with AMD’s APUs.

Last but not least there wil be an Enterprise series, but no frequencies or timings have been revealed there yet.

We know that the modules weigh in at 2GB and operate at 1.5V. The price for a 2GB 1333 MHz module in Japan is aorund 20€, but so far they have only been sighted in Japan.
