AMD should certainly be credited for the innovative code-name of the new reference motherboard “Wahoo”, if the board will live up to the enthusiastic name is hard to say, but now that detailed information about the board has appeared things at least look good on paper. The motherboard sports AMD’s coming Socket 1207 processors, two per motherboard. Each processor has its own memory bank, but Wahoo comes with support for 1066MHz DDR2 memory. Other notable specifications is the support for three PCIe graphics cards. The northbridge is ATI RD790 paired with SB600 and we’re eager to see the first motherboards on the market.
