Antec has launched a new miditower in the popular Sonata series. Antec Sonata IV is in many way like the old cases, with a focus on usability and silence in the work environment. Sonata IV has a redesigned front panel for better airflow and support for USB 3.0.
Antec Sonata IV is different from many other cases since it ships with a relatively powerful power supply, 620 watts cooled by a silent 120mm fan and 80 Plus Silver certification.
“The Sonata IV is a re-design that takes every attribute to a new level commensurate with today’s Quiet Computing needs, and offers PC enthusiasts and system integrators the top-notch solution they’ve come to expect from Antec’s Sonata line.”
Antec Sonata IV supports ATX motherboards and of course smaller formats. The case measures 515 mm (H) x 275 mm (B) x 550 mm (D) and weighs9.6 kg. Inside we find room for four 3.5″ slots with rubber supports and 2.5″ slot for a SSD. Antec has also installed a 120mm fan in the back with a three-step fan controller, and a USB 3.0 port found on the front panel.
Antec Sonata IV can be found in stors and costs around 140€, which includes the 620 watt power supply.
