AOpen XC Cube X761 is the complete name of AOpen’s latest SFF-barebone that it just launched. The system is unique as it supports among others AMD’s mobile processors Mobile Athlon 64 and Turion 64. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to realise that these power efficient processors are good for small SFF-systems such as this one and the fact is that Intel’s Pentium M-platform has earlier been used for several SFF-systems. EX761 is based on chipsets from SiS, more precise the SiS756GX northbridge and SiS965 southbridge, which supports among others Gigabit Ethernet, FireWire, integrated graphics and PCI Express x16. Through its Socket 754 interface it also supports Sempron processors and the first Athlon 64.
