Cisco and Apple has now reached an agreement where Apple will get to use the name iPhone. Exactly what the agreement says isn’t revealed and the only thing that is actually stated is that the two will be working toward “interoperability in the areas of security, and consumer and enterprise communications.” Everything else is confidential, but considering that it was Apple’s reply that dragged out the progress and the nature of the case we can only guess that there was a certain amount of money involved. Anyhow, both companies can now use the name iPhone and the next stop for Apple would be attacking the clones that are bound to appear.
