Apple has earlier said that it will transfer its entire Mac family to Intel’s processor platform before the end of the year and at the moment we’re still waiting for the replacement for the Power Mac series, Apple’s most powerful series. Already in January of 2006 Apple applied for its first trademark Mac Pro, in New Zeeland, which then started speculations that it was about to trash the “Power” name and move on to Pro for its new high performance models. Now that Apple has sent in its second application, this time in the USA, for Mac Pro you can acknowledge the pattern and considering the names of the other Intel systems we should be able to expect a Mac Pro series quite soon. Most likely based on Intel’s Core architecture, which should surface in a few months.
