Apple chose to leave IBM’s PowerPC architecture for Intel’s more efficient architecture and was with that decision heavily critisized by some and and praised by others. Now that we look back we can conclude that it was far from a hasty decision, which some claimed back then. Apple has namely been moving forward quite rapidly with an increased sale of 12% with its Macintosh computers. At the same time it showed an increase of 32% with its iPods and has through this been able to exceed the analysts expectations. Now that basically all Intel-Macs have arrived and the real iPod Video is waiting around the corner we can really only expect the trend to continue.
