Small preview imageApple has officially made no misstake with its mobile music player iPod so far and even though there probably are more than a few sceletons hiding here and there it’s pretty much only good news on iPod wherever you turn. Now it seems though that Apple might have overestimated the coming sales for it’s iPod. The demand has been dropping the latest couple of months but Apple has continued to produce the same quantities as before.

“Ironically, today Apple is believed to be sitting on its most significant inventory of iPod shuffles since the player hit the market in February. According to reliable sources of information, tens of thousands of iPod shuffles remain idle in the channels this week alongside a good number of iPod photos.”

Considering that Apple is pressumed to introduce at least one new iPod player it looks like it will meet with a though challenge getting all of its current iPod’s sold. Would always hope for a pricedrop or some sort of sale, but that feels highly unlikely.
