Apple iPhone – TKO!

Apple iPhone has finally been released from Apple’s dark valves and after a year of yearnings the phone has caused more than of rumors and its very existence has been discussed frequently, but now the time has come for Apple to reveal its creation. Despite Cisco’s launch of Linksys iPhone, Apple has stuck to the iPhone brand and would the two decide to duel about the rights for the name and base the outcome on the potential of the products Apple would win by the landslide of the century. Apple iPhone is a mobile phone, but the manufacturer really emphasizes that its creation is considerably more than that. The slogan goes as follows;

“Introducing iPhone. Apple reinvents the phone”

Apple has always been good at creating a big hype, but we have to admit that iPhone is certainly something out of the ordinary, not to say revolution, with its broad use and not the least the navigation system.

The main attraction of Apple iPhone is without a doubt its display, well to be honest the phone is one big display. It was a long time ago we heard the first rumors about a touch screen for iPod Video, but now it turns out that Apple iPhone uses precisely that. The 3.5″ display has 320×480 pixel resolution and is a touchscreen model. The display has been designed to be controlled with your bare fingers, which should increase the usability when compared to PDAs where you use a pen. The operating system iPhone uses is a stripped down version of Mac OS X and you do need an advanced software to keep track of all of the functions of the phone.

Apple markets iPhone as a high-tech mobile phone that will also act as an iPod with a widescreen display for both music and video playback. iPhone has also been optimized for Internet browsing with the built-in Safari browser with support for search engines such as Google and Yahoo. Google maps can also be used directly in the phone, which opens up new possibilities for the user.

Apple iPhone is not expected to appear on the American market until June and then only through the operator Cingular. The price will be 499 USD for the 4GB model with a two-year contract while the 8GB model will cost 599 USD.

It’s hard to control one’s feelings now that Apple has announced iPhone which on paper manages to outshine even the most promising rumors. We in Europe will have to wait until the fourth quarter, but we’re looking forward to hearing the first impartial reviews of the phone that may very well change the market in the long run.
