According to the investment company Caris & Co. it is likely that Apple will launch new G5 PowerMac’s during Apple Expo September 20th 2005. The new G5 PowerMac will use IBM’s dual-core 970 PowerPC-processor, which should mean that Apple will give IBM’s processors one last go before crossing over to Intel-based Macs. It believes Apple will launch a G5 Mac mini and faster G4 PowerBooks during the same event. The analyst Mark Stahlman believes Apple will launch PowerBooks with support for HD-resolution and  a video iPod. Especially since Sony has had such a success with PlayStation Portable.
