Apple is as you know on the way to make its biggest hardware launch in the history of the company when it will switch to Intel’s processor architecture from today’s IBM PowerPC. It has since then made an announcement that these Intel-based Macs will arrive during the middle of 2006. Now information states that Apple will launch its first Intel-system already during April/May next year. It will then introduce a completely new design with its portable computers iBook where it will among others offers a 13″ widescreen model.
Apple’s first Intel-based PowerBook-computer will use a 15″ display and be 20-25% thinner than today’s models. Apple’s goal is to be the first to launch computers with Intel’s new dual core processors, which would really give it a push in the right direction.
