Apple has fixed a few bugs and security holes found with its Macintosh computers the days that have passed. First it has released a firmware update that will fix unnecessary noise from fans with the MacBook Pro. We’re not sure if we dare to recommend this to people who already have problems with heat, but do share your experiences of the patch if you do try it. It has also released an update for its Xsan filesystem that will prevent hackers from running harmful code on your machine, a patch we highly recommend.
At the same time it has turned out that the company that claimed to have found a security hole in Apple’s driver for wireless networks actually had created the hole by hackign the driver. A far from optimal way to becoem famous, but at the same time it’s nice to hear that you don’t have to worry anymore.
