Apple has a very strict policy of professional secrecy and the goal is of course to keep the public unaware of what products it is working on. As with all major companies there are leaks as employees reveal, or accidentally reveal, details about products to people on the outside. Apple has been pretty good at keeping its coming products a secret and according to Ars Technica there are reasons for this. One of the primary is probably because it has its employees in a iron grip, but also a special system for finding leaks within the company.

Now and then it spreads fake information about a product parts of the employees and then watch if this end up in the media. If so they have a much greater chance of narrowing in on the leak as no other people knew about the false information.

“Regardless, this is a very smart idea for Apple to figure out exactly where the leaks are coming from, and this is likely why my college friends who now work at Apple are afraid to tell me what they ate for lunch today, much less what they are working on at the moment or what they’ve heard is coming down the pipeline. I don’t blame them.”

There are certainly many who want to work at Apple, but there seem to be very strict circumstances, for explainable reasons.
