Arctic Cooling has some of the most appreciated after-market graphics card coolers in its assortment. The reason they’ve become so popular is that they don’t only look cool, but actually act cool, while also keeping the noise level at a minimum. Back in February, Arctic Cooling announced the Accelero XTREME series with support for both AMD Radeon 2900 series and GeForce 8800 series. Arctic Cooling has now announced the successor which brings support for the recently launched GeForce 9800 series, Accelero EXTREME 9800.
Accelero EXTREME 9800 has three silent 80mm PWM fans cooling a huge heatsink which stretches along the entire graphics card. Five 6mm heatpipes reaches out from the copper base and transfers the heat to the heatsink resting above it. Arctic Cooling claims the cooler can handle up to 240W TDP, and that Accelero EXTREME 9800 is up to 33% cooler than the stock cooler, at equivalent noise levels.
It cools both memory and voltage regulators, and comes with pre-applied MX-2 cooling paste.
The MSRP (excl. VAT) is €34,95/$54.95.
