Arctic Cooling has made quite a lot of different coolers in its days. It’s latest creation is a part of the graphics card cooler lineup and it’s a sturdy piece. Accelero Xtreme is the name of the cooler which is intended for ATI’s Radeon HD 2900 series and NVIDIA’s GeForce 8800 series. Accelero Xtreme uses five heatpipes to transfer heat from the base located near the chip up to the huge heatsink with 107 separate fins. The heatsink is so large that you can fit three 80mm fans in a row, and so it has.
It resembles a large water cooling radiator and according to Arctic Cooling, Accelero Xtreme can handle heat outputs of up to 240W, which should result in up to 20 degrees less than with stock coolers.
“The three 80mm PWM fans operate in extreme silence and generate maximum airflow simultaneously, thanks to the promising low noise impeller as well as the patented fan holder that eliminates humming noise. With this outstanding low noise cooling technology, Accelero Xtreme brings enthusiasts and overclockers to the new level of non-disturbed gaming experience.”
Accelero Xtreme will become available soon and cost $49.90 and €34.90 (excl VAT)..
