Arctic Cooling has followed up on the launch of Freezer 13 with a more powerful big brother, Freezer 13 Pro. With a classic tower design the cooler will be capable of handling heat sources up to 300 watt and is thus ready to tackle all processors on the market, but also sports an extra mini-fan for the motherboard.
Freezer 13 Pro measures 134 x 96 x 159 mm and weighs 902 gram. The cooler is equipped with four 8mm copper heatpiptes. These are bent in a U-shape and move heat from the copper base to and through the 47 aluminum fins.
The cooler comes with a large 120mm fan that blows through the heatsink, but Arctic Cooling have also installed a small 50mm fan that sits above the copper base. The minimal 50mm fan will make sure there is airflow around the socket, which can easily become a problem with tower coolers.
Arctic Cooling claims this will improve temperatures with both regulators and chipsets. Both fans are PWM-controlled and the cooler ships with pre-applied Arctic MX-4 cooling paste.
The price tag is around 55€ and is covered by 6 year warranty.
