Arctic Cooling, a company we’ve grown quite accustomed to. It’s after-market cooling solutions for both processors and graphics cards are widely accepted as some of the best money can buy. It’s latest cooler is a spin-off of one of its bigger coolers. The Accelero TWIN TURBO is a slightly smaller version of the Accelero EXTREME. Instead of three 80mm fans, it has only two. The heatsink is also a bit smaller, which makes the overall length of the cooler a bit more convenient.
Accelero TWIN TURBO is compatible with both Radeon HD 4850 and 4870, along with the “high-end” of the previous generation 3870 and 3850. On the NVIDIA side of things it fits GeForce 9600GT, 8800GTS (G92), 8800GT and a bunch of older cards, both NVIDIA and ATI.
The cooler is multi-GPU compatible, and cools both RAM and voltage regulators. Overall the cooler consists of four heatpipes and 30 metallic fins capable of handling up to 120W. Arctic Cooling’s own tests with GeForce 9600GT shows that the noise level was lowered by factor ten and the load temperatures went down by more than 30 degrees Celsius.
The MSRP excl. VAT is 22,95€/$ 34.95, also slightly less than what you have to pay for the Accelero Extreme.
