ASRock has published a new demo video for its latest motherboard. ASRock Z68 Extreme 7 is one of the first motherboards with support for PCI Express 3.0 and loads of other features. ASRock don’t mind talking PCIe 3.0, but our eyes are drawn to the matte black and gold capacitors.
ASRock Z68 Extreme 7 appeared on pictures back in July, but this fully packed motherboard is without a doubt worth the time in the lime light. Combining black and gold is hardly unqiue, but the result is very nice.
With Intel’s Z68 chipset the motherboard supports Intel’s latest Sandy Bridge processors on LGA1155 platform and there is also room for five graphics cards, 10 SATA units and five USB 3.0 units.
Luckily it is not just the looks that stands out. The latest PR video ASRock talks about the support for PCI Express 3.0, but also a new cooling design and extra functionality. Among others we find a NVIDIA NF200 bridge chip for 3-way SLI and CrossFireX, and a PCIe PLX circuit for PCI Express 3.0 support.
Other functions it brags about is the XFast LAN, XCharge for faster USB charging, XFast USB and bundled software from Magix and a THX grade audio processor. The price is around 240€ and is expected to reach stores any day now.
