ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe impressed us when we saw ASUS launch of the card which was one of the first to use nVidia’s nForce 4 SLI X16 chipset. The new chipset supports full bandwidth for both graphic cardsin a SLI-setup, which in theory could increase the performance in tight situations. At HotHardware they’ve tested ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe and at first they’ve didn’t notice any difference from a SLI-configuration running 8×8 PCIe or 16×16 PCIe. It was first when they turned on the SLI antialiasing mode SLI-AA they noticed any real differences. Here ASUS nForce 4 SLI X16-based mainboard really shows what it can do and at best offered an increase at 67%!
ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe seems to be a very interesting mainboard and there really is a good reason for nVidia to launch its new SLI-chipset. We pressume that we will see more use of the PCI Express-ports full bandwidth with future games.
