Asus A8R-MVP is the name of the first motherboard to support ATI’s multi-gpu-technology, CrossFire, from ASUS. We’ve already seen images of this board and we were able to determine that ASUS seems to put in more time and effort on their NVIDIA-based motherboards. Even though it might not look all too sharp, it could of course be a great motherboard. One detail which hints towards that is that they’ve chosen to use ULi’s M1575 southbridge instead of ATI’s own southbridge, which hasn’t been that warmly welcomed. At AMDZone they’ve taken a closer look on the ASUS A8R-MVP and even though they have not ran any performance-tests yet, there is a lot of information available of the motherboard itself, for those who might want to expand their knowledge.
