ASUS Arctic Square is the latest addition to ASUS processor cooler assortment and the target is the high performance segment. Arctic Square can handle, more or less, all new processors using Socket AM2 and Socket 775, where the quad-core support is emphasized. ASUS has used the nowadays very popular tower design together heatpipe technology to transfer the heat from the core to the heatsink. The cooler has been equipped with a large fan, 92x92x25mm, to remove the heat from the heatsink.
The design of the heatsink has been designed so that also the contiguous voltage regulators can take advantage of the air flow. The fan is temperature regulated and to make it more appealing (?) ASUS has added some blue diodes. We’re looking forward to hearing how the cooler stands up the competition, and a price tag.
