Component maker ASUS is entering the e-book reader market and it hasn’t just gone with traditional models with scales of gray but also revealed an OLED color display. ASUS DR-570 is a relatively small e-book reader that is expected to launch by the end of the year sporting 6” display and battery times up to 122 hours(!).
The impressive battery numbers become even more astonishing when hear ASUS claiming that these numbers still apply when playing flash video or other relatively demanding tasks.
ASUS DR-570 will beside the color display also ship with WiFi and 3G. The launch is not expected to happen before near the end of the year, but it is at least telling us that it is taking the e-book reader market for serious.
