ASUS is continuously feeding us with new Eee products and this time ASUS has once again displayed the ability to think outside the box. ASUS Eee D200 is something of a central storage for your home network, but at the same time it is far from just any NAS. ASUS Eee D200 is most of all a fully fledged PC based on the well known Atom processor. Except from the 2TB storage there is a built-in router with 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports and 802.11n MIMO support.
You can control it either as a regular NAS, through a network interface, or through the integrated touchscreen located on the front of the case. The display measures 3.5″ and could certainly be a welcomed tool when handling this multi-device that once again shows ASUS isn’t just trying push out as many Eees as possible but actually have ideas to make these new products worthwhile.
Engadget managed to snap a couple of pictures, but also a short video presentation of the product that shows promise, but the big question is what it will cost.
