Small preview imageASUS EN6800Ultra Dual is a creation we’ve earlier reported on here at NH, simply a graphic card that uses two GeForce 6800-circuits to create an “SLI-system” on a single PCB. This has been done with 6600-circuit before but now we’re talking about nVidia’s flagship which should offer quite a lot more performance. Contrary to what we’ve thought before it is 6800 Ultra-circuits that ASUS has used and not 6800GT, which just makes it even more impressive. At VR-Zone they’ve taken a closer look at the card that except for its dual graphic circuits is equipped with 512MB GDDR3-memory and two DVI-outputs.

ASUS EN6800Ultra Dual will according to VR-Zone only work on SLI-mainboards from ASUS and the two 6800U-circuits will work at 430MHz and the memory at 1.12GHz. With earlier versions the card has looked quite massive and this is clearly confirmed now that VR has put a regular 6800 Ultra card on top, which is usually considered quite large. ASUS will probably slim down the card’s size before the launch otherwise most people will have a hard time to fit it inside their cases.
