Även om Microsoft inte kommer att släppa lös sitt nya operativsystem Windows 7 förrän fjärde kvartalet har man redan gjort stora framsteg. Windows Vista hade stora problem att få stöd från både mjukvaru och hårdvarutillverkare i form av optimerade drivrutiner och program. Men Windows 7 har redan, trots att operativsystemet bara är i teststadie, fått brett stöd. Vi har rapporterat om flera mjukvaruutvecklare som lanserat Windows 7-versioner av sina program och nu följer moderkortstillverkaren ASUS i samma fotspår som AMD och andra tillverkare som lanserat drivrutiner optimerade för Microsofts nya Windows 7 operativsystem.

ASUS Motherboards Worlds First to Support Windows 7 RC
New Beta Drivers Available on ASUS Website
Enable ASUS Motherboard Users to Run Windows 7 RC
ASUS today proved once again that it is at the forefront of motherboard innovation and technology with its announcement that ASUS motherboards are the worlds first to support Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC). ASUS industry-leading Research & Development team has kept close pace with each new beta release of Windows 7, and has developed beta drivers that enable ASUS motherboard users to try Windows 7 RC immediately. The drivers can be downloaded from the ASUS Motherboard Support website (http://support.asus.com/). The models currently supported are the ASUS P6T Deluxe V2, P5Q-E, P5Q PRO Turbo, P5Q SE PLUS and M4A78-EM. Support for motherboards from the full P6T, P5Q and M4 series will follow shortly. With the beta drivers, ASUS motherboard users will be able to sample Windows 7 RCs streamlined user interface, improved speed and enhanced resource utilization ahead of anyone else.
