ASUS is really broadening its assortment, we have earlier reported that it has both LCD-TVs and 3G-phones coming. But we have also heard rumours of GPS-devices by ASUS and now these has actually arrived on the market, the Taiwanese to start with at least. The GPS-devices are called MyPal and to begin with we will have two different models to chose from, MyPal A636 and MyPal A632. Both units uses Intel’s XScale-processor at 416MHz and is equipped with a 3.5″ LCD-display showing 63 536 färger (240×320 pixlar), with touch-screen function.
What separates the two is that the first, A636, has integrated WLAN, while A632 instead has an extra card slot (2 all together). ASUS’s GPS-devices will cost 560 USD resp. 500 USD, but whether these Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC based GPS-units will find its way outside of Taiwan remains to see.
