Lamborghini VX3 is the third incarnation of the Lamborghini VX series from ASUS. To me, a high-end laptop is either a small, highly portable notebook sporting some quite impressive hardware and battery time, or a clumsy laptop with a huge high definition display with hardware to match. Neither Lamborghini VX1 nor VX2 was able to live up to either of those two stereotypes. The VX3 does however. ASUS has shrunk the case and display to 12.1″ and fitted it with a 45nm Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 processor.
The announcement also stated that it would sport graphics from NVIDIA, the yet unannounced GeForce 9300 IGP with 256MB of memory. A 320GB harddrive, 4GB of DDR2-667MHz RAM, Lightscribe-compatible DVD burner, webcam and integrated 3.5G cellular connectivity completes it, and makes it even more attractive than its predecessors.
The regular Lamborghini touches are still there, leather wrist rest, “titanium alloy hinge backbone”, the Lamborghini logo and so forth. Price and availability were not revealed.
