ASUS has presented two new LCD monitors and as expected they are two widescreen models. ASUS MW221U and MW201U measures 22″ and 20″ diagonally and both use a resolution at 1680×1050 pixels. ASUS boasts that the monitors have been WHQL approved for Windows Vista, which means support for both HDCP and even OCPM (Output Content Protection Management). Both monitors comes with a response time at 2ms and even it has been software accelerated it should be enough even for the fastidious users.
We expect most LCD monitor manufacturers to launch Vista-capable monitors and how ASUS models stands up to the competition remains to be seen.
