ASUS M2N32-WS seems to be one of the first motherboards for the workstation market based on AMD’s new platform Socket AM2. One of the first of its kind we’ve seen on picture and the picture sent to Tech Report seems to be from a product presentation that conveniently walk you through the main features of the motherboard. The chipset is NVIDIA C51XE/MCP55 PXE, which is suppose to be the high end version of NVIDIA’s dual x16 PCIe for Socket AM2. Except for two full x16 PCIe slots we see support for 8GB DDR2-800 memory, PCI-X slots, 10 (!)300MB/s SATA ports, 2 Gigabit Ethernet ports and an eight stage power supply system.
An interesting solution is that the card has an external SATA port on the I/O bracket making it possible to use external SATA harddrives in a more convenient way.
