ASUS P5B Premium is said to be the next addition to ASUS P5B series and the Premium model introduces some news. The French site Clubic has come across both pictures and technical information (via XtremeSystems) about the board that will use new high-quality capacitors and a TPM connector on the motherboard for Microsoft’s BitLocker Drive encryption. This technology will be used by Windows Vista to encrypt data on the harddrives and ASUS is taking aim for the Vista users with its new P5B Premium motherboard. It has namely also integrated 512MB flash memory to support Vista’s ReadyBoost.
Exactly how much one have to pay for these extra features remains to be seen, but at the same time it’s interesting to see that the hardware manufacturers is starting to prepare for Microsoft’s new operating system.
