ASUS P8H67-I Deluxe is the smallest board of ASUS gigantic assortment of Sandy Bridge motherboards, but still one of the more exciting. With its Mini-ITX format the board measures 17x17cm, but still brings tons of features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB 3.0. NordicHardware has some exclusive pictures of the new mini board.
ASUS has continued along the line it started with Intel’s Atom processors and the praised Mini-ITX motherboard ASUS AT3IonT-I Deluxe.
This time its a lot more powerful platform that is the base and Intel’s very well performing Sandy Bridge processors fits on this Mini-ITX motherboard, including the flagship Intel Core i7-2600K. Through Intels H67 chipset there is full support for Sandy Bridge’s integrated graphics circuit, but the board also has a PCIe x16 slot for those who wants to use a discrete graphics card and build a minimal power machine.
ASUS P8H67-I Deluxe specifications:
- Intel H67 chipset and LGA1155 socket
- Sandy Bridge
- 4x SATA ports and 2x SATA 6,0 Gbps
- 2x USB 3.0 (With bundled front panel)
- 4x USB 2.0 ports
- 2x SO-DIMM DDR3 memory slots
- Wireless 802.11n 300 Mbps WiFi
- Bluetooth
- HDMI, DVI and VGA outputs
Interestingly the motherboard uses SO-DIMM memory modules, the same modules used by notebooks. This limits the assortment a bit, but prices are on par with regular DIMM modules.
Overclocking of both CPU and GPU
Even though ASUS has put a lot of focus on overclockers when developing the mothebroard we can gladly report that P8H67-I Deluxe can change the clock frequencies of both CPU cores and the integrated graphics, for those who want better gaming performance.
OBS! Intel H67 chipset doesn’t support multiplier overclocking, which means limited overclocking potential.
The board is already listed in stores and costs around 130€. The first deliveries are expected to reach us on January 17th.
