ASUS PW201 is a 20″ widescreen LCD monitor that offers a resolution of 1680×1050 pixels and a contrast ratio at 800:1. The monitor is equipped with both VGA and DVI-D inputs, but also component and S-Video for those who wants to connect to other things than just a computer. That ASUS has considered PW201 for a broad range of uses is strengthened by the integrated speakers, but also a rather unique feature with today’s LCD monitors; ASUS PW201 namely has an 1.3Mpixel integrated web camera and even if this is rather rare it’s a far from new concept. Loads of computer manufacturers integrate web cameras above the display of their portable computers, e.g. Apple has its iSight camera on its iMacs.
With its rich list of features ASUS PW201 could fit into most environments where both pivot and aggressive pixel warranty (zero bright pixels) adds value. Price and supply of ASUS new monitor is yet to be announced.
