ASUS has just launched a new graphics card called EN8600GT OC GEAR/HTDP/256M, which is basically a GeForce 8600GT, which offers some rather unique features. ASUS’ new graphics card is namely the first to support the new and external overclocking module known as OC Gear. We’ve reported about OC Gear in the past and it is basically a 5.25″ panel that is connected to the graphics card and you can then manually change the frequencies and fan speeds of the graphics card, in real time. This means that you can, if you want, give your games an extra boost, while in-game, with the turn of a knob.
ASUS EN8600GT OC GEAR/HTDP/256M also comes with 1 ns memory chips for some extra overclocking potential and ASUS claims that there is at least 30 percent of overclocking available. The new card is pictured below together with the new OC Gear and some specifications.
