ASUS reveals bits on Rampage III Extreme

ASUS is dedicated to its overclocking venture and on the motherboard front we have the new Rampage III Extreme. The board we have told you about a couple of times sports Intel’s X58 chipset and will become the new flagship among LGA 1366 boards. This boards introduces a couple of news for improving overclocking it should prove a powerful partner to Intel’s six-core Core i7 980X processor. The company has released some official information on the features of the board.



As reported a while back ASUS Rampage III Extreme, will sport an evolved version of ROG Connect with Bluetooth control of the board. We also get some information and a picture of the new power supply ASUS has developed for Rampage III Extreme.





– 8+3 Phase Digital CPU/QPI Power Solution with extreme high grade mosfet (see attached picture).
– ROG Connect/ROG Connect RC Bluetooth
 Unlimited OC control and monitor possibilities
 Low level BIOS flash, flash without CPU
– Turn on/off PCIex 16X slots for diagnostic purpose
– LN2 mode for best possible environment when running extreme negative temps
– True SATA6 and USB3


We hope to offer more information and some benchmarks soon. We have also learned that ASUS is planning an overclocking event where Rampage III Extreme will be the guest of honor. An anonymous event that it hopes will result in results that will set the bar. We will return with more information on this later on.
