ASUS and Intel have arranged a high profile overclocking competition at DreamHack Winter 2009 and as we’ve earlier revealed we will be there following the competition. After a series of computer and Internet related problems we are now ready to bring you up to date with the score where the first round started at 11:00 this morning and for better or worse it was a dual of highest national caliber. OC profiles Jon “elmor” Sandström and Jonas “Mean Machine” Klar aren’t just familiar faces here and among overclockers but also good friends to spice things up a bit.
Jonas Klar have been sharing his escapades here at NordicHardware and got a wild card to the competition as overclocker Hipro5 missed his flight from Greece to Sweden. We of course keep our fingers crossed for our overclocking expert Jonas, but are at the same time happy to be guaranteed a Swede in the semifinals.
We will be covering the progress of Jonas and Elmor’s struggle in the ASUS ROG Showdown, and try to keep you posted with more reports as we are there to do just that.
