ASUS has many different components in its product assortment; motherboards, graphics cards, sound cards, cases, physics cards, etc., but also power supplies. Not that they have received much attention in the past, but ASUS intends to change that now. During Computex it will unveil a new high-end model which should get ASUS a foot in on the power supply market, at least in the retail channel. G-1000HA FAB is the name of the 1 kilowatt power supply that will be unveiled as a part of its Republic Of Gamers (R.O.G.) family.

G-1000HA FAB is ATX 2.3 compliant, which means the 12V rail has been split into five rails of 20A each for a total power rating of 840W. The 3V and 5V rails can handle a maximum load of 30A each and together 175W. It has an active PFC (like pretty much all other) and an efficiency of up to 87% (load unknown).

It has 8 SATA, 6 molex, 1 FDD, 6 PCIe and 1 EPS connectors, all with sleeved cables. For cooling there’s a 13.5cm ball-bearing fan, which should tend for some quiet operation. No price available at press time.
