The Intel-support netbook operating system Moblin is coming to market and none less than ASUS will do it through its family of Eee PCs. According to sources to netbooknews.de the first Eee PC netbook with Moblin installed from factory will appear in stores in October. It also plans to make Moblin an option for all future netbooks.
It’s not just Moblin that is of interest to ASUS, but also Google’s recently announced Chrome OS. ASUS joined the list at Google covering companies that were interested in Chrome OS and this information strengthens the general belief that ASUS and Google are working closely together on the new operating system.
Google’s Chrome OS is far from ready though, but we can count on ASUS being one of the first manufacturers to try out Google’s new baby.
