ASUS UX21 looks to be the next generation ultrathin notebooks where the comany has carved a 17mm thin case from aluminum. The design is similar to the one used by Apple MacBook Air and hides some impressive components; Core i7 CPU, SATA 6.0 Gbps SSD and USB 3.0 support.
ASUS hasn’t held back when developing the superthin UX21 model and through proprietary technology the computer will wake up in just 2 seconds from sleep, while the battery will run for more than a week in sleep. The actual battery time wasn’t mentioned though. It is not entirely clear what screen size it has, but weighing 1.1 kg and in comparison with Apple’s MacBook Air models, it looks like a 11.6″ display.

Other neat components is a glass trackpad and metal keys. The price wasn’t revealed, but probably higher than we would like.
