ATI and NVIDIA goes for 90nm the first quarter of 2006

ATI has already launched a whole product family based on its new 90nm manufacturing process while NVIDIA so far hasn’t left its 110nm technology. Without a doubt this will happen next year and during the first quarter of 2006 it seems that both ATI and NVIDIA will launch new circuits made with 90nm technology. ATI has its renowned R580 circuit to launch while NVIDIA goes for two new GeForce 7xxx based circuits. R580 is expected to be announced already in January, but will not reach the market in large quantities until the end of the first quarter. At the same time NVIDIA will launch two mid end cards in its 7xxx series, GeForce 7600 and GeForce 7200, all made with 90nm technology.
