The fact that ATI would be working on a technology for connecting four graphics circuits is hardly a surprise. Even if NVIDIA’s Quad SLI has been a rare catch it is still a huge thorn in ATI’s PR-side as it is unable to offer an equally advanced graphics platform as NVIDIA. ATI is stated to be further improving its Quad Crossfire technology, but we haven’t heard of any hard facts yet. That creating a driver working efficiently with handling four graphics circuits in one system is hard to do is something NVIDIA has already proven. If ATI manages better than NVIDIA and when it will launch its Quad Crossfire technology is yet to be announced, but we can assure you that ATI is working on this. That it has managed to develop RV530-based cards with dual graphics circuits at least show it is on the way.
