Well to be honest it’s just a picture of a picture of the actual board with ATI’s Multi-VPU technology, MVPU. As we’ve reported earlier this is ATi’s version of nVidia’s SLI-technology that lets users use two graphic cards in the same system to gain a considerable amount of performance. ATi is sexpected to officially launch the technology during Computex next month at E3 and they at least seem to have cartons ready. The Inquirer has namely managed to catch a box for a Radeon Xpress 200 mainboard supporting MVPU on camera. The mainboard looks quite promising but there is at least one major flaw with this card and it’s the two PCIe x16 ports placed right next to eachother. I.e you will not be able to use a graphic card with practically any form of cooling in the upper slot. This must course be very annoying to many users and we can’t really believe this is the final layout. At least we sure don’t hope so. Source: The Inquirer
