ATi Radeon X1000-series is what we’ve all been waiting for the latest couple of months. The R5xx-architecture has finally been revised and launched and as ATi has delayed its cards for months nVidia and its flagship GeForce 7800 GTX has been raging the market. But except for a new high end series in the form of Radeon X1800 ATi has also launched two other graphic card series, Radeon X1300 and Radeon X1600. Together the three form a wave of new graphic cards that will replace all current graphic cards from ATi and sweep nVidia of the market more or less. We were in Ibiza when ATi launched its new cards and got alot of information about ATi’s new base architecture and how its new flagship, Radeon X1800 XT, performs. In the massive preview we publish here today you can read all about ATi’s new graphic cards and its new features such as CrossFire, AVIVO, Dual-link DVI and much, much more. We also have benchmarks with the new cards and even some backstage information from Ibiza. Read all about ATi’s new Radeon X1000-series in our latest article.

“ATi really wants to show that the graphic cards it has launched are something completely new compared to what you can find on the market today and we have reached a rather interesting situation since ATi has been having trouble with the R520-architecture. It will namely launch all R5xx-based cards at the same time, not only the top models which is what usually happens and what e.g. nVidia has done with its GeForce 7800-series where there still are only high end versions available.
