ATI Radeon X1950 Uber Edition was recently launched in a limited edition of 500 samples, all signed by ATI’s previous main man, Dave Orton. Radeon X1950 Uber Edition isn’t just a graphics but a kit consisting out of two Radeon X1950 XTX graphics cards and some exclusive accessories. The system is delivered in an attaché case with code-lock and the graphics card that are ready for CrossFire have also had their clock frequencies raised a bit. The Uber Edition cards are clocked at 670MHz/2100MHz, unlike the standard cards that are clocked at 650MHz/2000MHz.

ATI Radeon X1950 Uber Edition is without a doubt an interesting PR stunt and even if the 500 buyers that invest in a kit won’t be able to win any performance competitions it is certainly something to brag about to your friends. It’s uncertain how AMD/ATI will distribute the 500 kits but they will apparently cost 790 USD.
