ATI had for long offered the best performing integrated graphic circuit with its Radeon Xpress 200 chipset when NVIDIA launched its GeForce 61xx chipsets to change this. Now rumours tells us that ATI is going to double the number of pixel pipelines for the next generation integrated graphic circuit, from today’s 2 pipelines to 4 for the next version. Both ATI and NVIDIA is today satisfied with equipping their integrated circuits with 2 pixel pipelines, which clearly limits their performance. If ATI expands the number of pipelines with their integrated circuit it will have a performance similar to the Radeon X600 series, which is really impressive for an integrated circuit.
