At Beyond3D they’ve had a chat with ATi’s VP Rick Bergman and they have among others discussed ATi’s R520-circuit and the delayed launch of the circuit. Rick Bergman admits that it had planned a launch in the middle of the summer but a number of problems with the circuits deisgn forced them to delay the launch until September/October. A date which seems to hold. At the same it will launch new low end cards based on the new Shader Model 3.0-capable arcitecture. A fullscale launch such as this one has never been made by ATi before but pressumably a must now that nVidia has gained such a lead the last couple of months. Rick tells us that Crossfire will be available for reviews in August and the platform will be launced in September. Source: Beyond3D
