ATi will hold Crossfire for FireGL

ATi will to begin with not launch its dual-GPU technology Crossfire for its FireGL-series. FireGL is geared towards workstations and is ATi’s equivalent for nVidia’s Quadro-series. in this segment stability is a cricital issue and that might just be one of the reasons ATi is waiting to introduce Crossfire for FireGL. Something nVidia will most likely take advantage of marketing its Quadro-series which supports SLI. Whether Crossfire graphicc ards can be used in workstations is uncertain and it might just be a solution for those urging for maximal performance.
